Daftar Lengkap Nominasi Oscar 2022, dari Will Smith, Kristen Stewart Hingga Andrew Garfield 

Pasangan ini mengungkapkan nominasi di 23 kategori dalam pengumuman, yang disiarkan di situs web Oscar dan akun media sosial Akademi Film.

Kristen Stewart mendapat nominasi untuk perannya sebagai Putri Diana di "Spencer," dan akan melihat dirinya bersaing melawan favorit penggemar seperti Nicole Kidman ("Being the Ricardos") dan Olivia Colman ("The Lost Daughter").

 “The Power of the Dog” dan “Dune” masing-masing mencetak 12 dan 10 nominasi. Will Smith mungkin memiliki dua Oscar di bawah ikat pinggangnya dalam satu tahun Maret ini, karena ia telah menerima nominasi untuk Aktor Terbaik dan Film Terbaik untuk perannya dalam "King Richard," yang juga ia produksi. 

“West Side Story” mencetak lima nominasi di tengah kontroversi dengan bintangnya, Ansel Elgort. Ada juga beberapa pasangan yang memenangkan nominasi. Jesse Plemons dan Kirsten Dunst keduanya menerima nominasi untuk peran mereka dalam “The Power of the Dog” sementara Javier Bardem dan Penelope Cruz masing-masing secara terpisah memenangkan nominasi untuk “Being the Ricardos” dan “Parallel Mothers.

Pemungutan suara nominasi berakhir pada 1 Februari. Diungkapkan bulan lalu bahwa upacara Oscar akhirnya akan memiliki pembawa acara setelah tiga tahun tanpa pembawa acara. Terakhir kali seorang selebriti menghiasi panggung untuk melontarkan lelucon monolog yang canggung dan mengolok-olok para nominasi adalah pada tahun 2018, ketika Jimmy Kimmel tampil.

Komedian Kevin Hart dijadwalkan menjadi pembawa acara pada tahun 2019, namun, ia mengundurkan diri dalam beberapa hari setelah kontroversi yang berasal dari tweet homofobia masa lalunya. Upacara tahun itu berlangsung tanpa pembawa acara dan peringkatnya meningkat dan mendapat banyak pujian kritis. Pertunjukan itu bahkan setengah jam lebih pendek dari siaran empat jam tahun-tahun sebelumnya.
